Striped Christmas Tree Nail Art

 Press Sample

Hello all. I am a little behind on my holiday nails because as usual, I have these huge goals but I cannot achieve. I really wanted to re-create my nail art look from 2014. It was so easy to do and I loved how modern and sleek it was. I am just obsessed, so let's check them out.

It’s been a long time since I have painted my nails red and this reminded me that every time I do, it is like my first day. I had red nail polish everywhere. In addition, it’s been a long time since I have used a brush that is not rounded and now I can tell you how much I appreciate that innovation of nail polish brushes, because this was a mess but it was entirely my fault.

I used wayyyyy too many colors. Also, I did not start adding breakdowns of colors until later in my blog (probably 2016) so most of these were different from my original look.

  • Red: Girly Bits Sleigh My Name, Sleigh My Name
  • Dark green creme: Zoya Walker
  • Bright green creme: Girly Bits It’s Near Leaf Fall
  • Green reflection: KBShimmer Stocking Developments
  • Green shimmer: KBShimmer Take a Bough
  • Green glitter: KBShimmer Spruce Things Up
  • Dark green flake: Girly Bits All I Want Fir Christmas is You
  • Gold: Morgan Taylor Gilded in Gold
  • Gold glitter: Stella Chroma Long-term Parking
  • Dark red: Girly Bits Red Velvet
  • White: Zoya Aspen

I used a mixture of finishes and shades of green. I used cremes, shimmers, flakes, glitters, and reflectives. I feel like they play off of each other nicely!

Since I used a reflective polish, I figured I would take a picture with flash for good measure. It was only one of the greens, but I still liked how this looked with it! Plus you can really see all the different finished this way.

I wore it shiny for a few days just because I love how this red looks. It has such a strong shimmer and is so glowy. I just feel like the darker greens stand out against the matte a bit more but I love how this looks both ways!

Why re-invent the wheel? I feel like 9 years is long enough for me to re-create art? What do you think?
