Hi all! This is my final Hanukkah manicure for 2023 and I had fun this year! Tonight is the seventh night of Chanukah so that means tomorrow is the last night. I wore festive Hanukkah sweaters this entire week at work with matching festive earrings. It is important to me that I represent my holiday and religion and show that we are a strong group of people. I hope you enjoyed my nail art over this last week.
So this was inspired by something on my Pinterest and I think that it was wrapping paper from Papyrus. I loved that store so much! I also used to browse the site for their gorgeous patterns.
I loved the blues and the snowy vibes.
- Base: Morgan Taylor Gaston and On and On
- Dark Blue: Stella Chroma Big Sky
- Medium Blue: Zoya Mateo
- Neon Blue: Zoya Pluto
- White: Stella Chroma High Noon
- Green: Morgan Taylor Oh, Para-chute!
- Yellow: Zoya Darcy
I went through a ton of blues before I chose them. I love Stella Chroma High Noon because it is a marshmallow-y white and not a stark white. It worked perfectly for this snowy vibe.
So my biggest mistake with this art is that I painted the branches first and I painted them too low. I should have painted the ornaments first to ensure there was enough space. Or looking back, I could have painted a higher branch above and just overlapped the ornaments. I think I was tired. I love this look though and for sure, I am redoing it next year with what I really wanted!
My right hand was just a dotticure with the same colors. I was too tired to do intricate art on that hand. As it goes, lol.
EDIT: I just wanted to add what I do in order to pick colors. I narrow down my colors on a nail mat!
I hope you enjoyed my Hanukkah nail art this year. The last night is tomorrow night, so I hope you have a wonderful Festival of Lights.
